Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, Shemena Campbell now lives and works in Amsterdam, NL with her husband, two sons and two cats. After a career in medical research, she began painting in 2018. Primarily self taught, Shemena works in oil paint and mixed media. She uses surrealism to express her primary artistic interests - power and memory, and how those subjects sometimes intertwine.

 

She can be seen most days painting in the window of her studio, but only takes people on a tour with an appointment. Pictures are welcome, but she would appreciate an @ if posting on instagram. Thank you!
